About La Plagne
For further information on the resort of La Plagne, please
visit the website www.la-plagne.com.
You can check out the weather and even get a weather forecast
e-mailed to you regularly. If that’s not enough you
can see the snow conditions for yourself through the La Plagne
webcams.
La Plagne is not
just for skiing and the website highlights many other activities
such as raquettes, swimming, ice skating, climbing (in and
out door), paintball, gym, cinema etc. The site also helps
with contact details for childminding and crèche facilities.
We have reliable English speaking childminders that we use
frequently and can recommend or book in for you advance.
For more information regarding the services at the Cyber
Centre, call 00 33 479 55 19 22.
Skiing
Ski passes can be purchased on line in advance via the La
Plagne website as well. Otherwise they can be purchased in
resort. Note that proof of age will be asked for child and
senior citizen passes. You can also purchase insurance (carre
neige) at about 2.5 euros adult and 3 euros child per day.
The passes are electronic so make a note of your number as
without it you can not obtain a replacement card if it is
lost. It can also be recharged with extra days.
Ski/Snowboard Lessons
There are privately run ski schools that we can recommend
which have excellent levels of English and can also help to
organise equipment hire for you:
